Area Manager - NVQ 4/5
I have worked within child care for around 23 years, the last 12 of which have been here at Wyngarth having begun as deputy manager when the nursey first opened in 2006. During this period I have gained vast experience and derived immense pleasure from working alongside a highly motivated and professional team. Wyngarth has developed over the years and in addition to having direct responsibility for the Colwyn Bay West End setting, I also oversee matters at our other nurseries and out of school facilities at Glanwydden, Llandudno Junction and Bangor, where I am heavily indebted to all of the staff for their professionalism, support and dedication. Child care and child development methods are continuously evolving, and here at Wyngarth we pride ourselves in the manner in which we as a team adapt with change; I am particularly proud of the way in which everyone embraces new challenges in order to comply with the latest National guidelines. Our internal training sessions are always enjoyable experiences where staff are able to learn and develop new skills for the benefit of the children in our care. On a personal level, I have two grown up daughters one studying Zoology at Aberystwyth University whilst the other runs her own beauty therapy business in and around Anglesey where we now live, both girls however were born and bred in Colwyn Bay where they attended the local education system at Ysgol Pen y Bryn Primary School followed by, Eirias and John Brights Secondary Schools. My long term ambition is to remain at Wyngarth and to oversee the next phase in the development of this setting to ensure it provides the first class level of care demanded by our parents for their children.
